Band VI der 'Kleinen Schriften' von Martin Hengel enthält siebzehn zum großen Teil umfangreichere Beiträge aus einem Zeitraum von 36 Jahren zwischen 1971 und 2007. Sie sind alle durchgesehen und zum Teil auch ergänzt. Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt bei Aspekten der lukanischen Geschichtsschreibung als Grundlage unseres Wissens vom Urchristentum. Der Autor behandelt darüber hinaus jedoch auch Probleme der urchristlichen Mission, die Ursprünge der christlichen Gnosis, die Kreuzigung in der Antike sowie die Stellung des frühen Christentums zu Eigentum und Reichtum und zur Arbeit. Weitere Themen sind Grundprobleme einer Geschichte des Christentums im 1. und 2. Jahrhundert, die weibliche Metaphorik im Kirchenverständnis nach 2Joh 1, das urchristliche Verständnis der Augenzeugenschaft, die Königsherrschaft Gottes sowie Qumran und das Urchristentum. Sie zeigen einen Ausschnitt aus der vielseitigen wissenschaftlichen Arbeit des Autors in dem genannten Zeitraum.

Ein siebter, abschließender Band der 'Kleinen Schriften' ist für 2009 in Vorbereitung. Er enthält historisch-theologische Entwürfe und zahlreiche biographische Skizzen sowie die Indizes zu den Bänden V-VII.
[Volume ORDINANCES of the 'small writings' of Martin Hengel contains seventeen to a large degree more extensive contributions out of a period of 36 years between 1971 and 2007: they are looked through everyone and are supplemented in part also.  Your focal point is about aspects of the lukanischen recording of history as a base of our knowledge of the Urchristentum.  The author treats in addition however also problems of the urchristlichen mission, the origins of the Christian Gnosis, the crucifixion in the antique as well as of the position the early Christianity to property and wealth and to the work.  Further subjects are basic problems of a story of Christianity in that 1st and 2nd century, the feminine imagery in the church understanding after 2Joh 1, the urchristliche understanding the eyewitness shaft, the king domination of God as well as Qumran and the Urchristentum.  They show a cut out of the multilateral scientific work of the author in the named period.  

A seventh, concluding volume of the 'small writings' is for 2009 in preparation.  It contains historically theological designs and numerous biographical sketches as well as the indices to the volumes V VII.  ]
