본서는 총 4권으로 계획된 사도행전 주석이다. 저자가 야심작으로 내놓은 주석으로서 참으로 방대한 책이다. 이 주석은 서론만 630쪽에 달한다. 특별히 본서는 본문을 학문적으로 주석하는 방법을 소개하며 성경을 읽으면서 주석할 수 있는 방법을 알 수 있다. 일 권에서 저자는 사도행전의 책을 소개하며 처음 몇 장의 상세한 주석을 마련하면서 성서 이외의 고대 자료들로부터 일만 여 참고서를 포함하여 제시한다. 서론에서 본 주석을 읽기 위한 고려할 점들을 다루고 사도행전을 쓰고 출판과 사도행전을 위하여 제시된 장르들, 고대 사료 편집의 작업으로서의 사도행전 등 다양한 내용들을 담고 있다. 주석 일부에서는 성령의 처음 부분에 다룬다. 특히 오순절 연구와 참고 자료들 제시는 성경을 전문적으로 읽는데 도움을 줄 것이다. 너무 길어서 지루하지 않을까 하는 염려도 있지만 한 권에 모든 것을 담으려는 저자의 전문적 노력이 큰 도움을 준다.
